Blackfriars Tower

London, UK

Summary

The office building is designed as a slender and elegant grouping of three rectilinear forms. A simple formal arrangement where the volumes are offset from one another gives rise to distinct silhouettes visible from different parts of London.
The volumes are wrapped in a smooth glass skin with deep metal grooves to the west, while the eastern and southern volumes are enclosed in a vertically pleated and striated facade with horizontal brise-soleil.
