Honey Van

Summary

Designed for craftsmen, the “Honey-van” combines a production space, a workshop, a storage space, and also a movable retail room. In our scenario, the beekeeper could respectively install the beehives on the roof; process the honey in the main room; store the boxes in the side room and load the top of his mobile shop to sell his pots on the local market. Pallets are efficiently dismantled and reassembled without any loss. Like the tatamis in Japanese architecture, it recreates a frame dimensioned by the elements constituting a standard “euro” pallet.
The pure volume is split when the craftsman leaves, revealing two new inside faces used as advertising windows for the shop. The natural light is constantly filtered and reflected by the honey pots spread on the inside shelves. Everyday environment between a big piece of furniture and a small room, “Honey-van” meets the needs of our modern times.
