In 2009, the Foundation launched the Aswan Heart Centre, a place for heartcare excellence. It treats thousands of patients every year from all over Egypt and further afield. However, the people’s need
for the service is overwhelming, and the gap between the demand
for services and the existing capacity continues to be in the thousands. As part of the Foundation’s commitment to create the necessary environment to deliver an everimproving first class service,
it has taken the initiative to build the New Aswan Heart Centre.

Located on the West Bank of the Nile, the Centre will enable the Foundation to increase both capacity and services. The New Aswan Heart Centre mission is to provide free of charge treatment for underprivileged patients and to develop a new generation of scientists and physicians with the goal of putting Egypt on the global map for heart research and treatment.
